Hey Everyone! My Name is Lena Romero (pronounced leh*nah) and I am the lead teacher for the Green Comet Classroom. I’ve been working at Tenderfoot since 2020 and have had experience in the Infant Room, Young Toddler Room and Preschool Rooms. I came to Gunnison from Morrison, Colorado to attend Western State University where I worked so hard to earn a Bachelor’s degree in English. In my free time I really enjoy reading books, annoying my friends and family with memes and reels, and cooking! I have 3 playful cats and four large fish…including an iridescent shark! The best things I have learned while working with such amazing little humans is that babies are determined, toddlers are so funny, and preschoolers are smarter than me. It’s impossible to have a bad day with such kind, hilarious, and clever kids around every corner.
